Tennessee Birthday Weekend

Today is Jacob and Caleb's 2nd birthday! It is hard to believe that they have gone from tiny newborns to independent, charming toddlers in just 2 years.

We celebrated with lots of family in Pigeon Forge, TN this weekend. We are blessed to have so many people to love and encourage our little guys!

Hurry up Grandaddy! Jacob, Caleb, and their cousin Braden hit the rides at Dollywood.

Aquarium of the Smokies

Saturday was suppose to be a rainy day in the Smokies so we headed to the aquarium. Jacob and Caleb were fascinated!

Elmo Birthday Bash

Braden collected all the trash while the boys unwrapped. Thanks Braden!
Sweet Kate is getting in on the action...practicing for her birthday next month.
Uncle Bob and Aunt Louise
Jacob took a swipe out of the cake as soon as I set him down. Who needs to hear the birthday song before eating cake?

Caleb loves Elmo! He was more interested in playing with the Elmo car than eating a cupcake.

Family Update

January and February in NC Wesley's Park

Boxes are so much more fun than toys!

Foam pit at the Fun Factory

Yes, we are still alive and I have not forgotten the blog. Life has been busy to say the least! In early January we found out that Andy had to report to his new job in North Carolina immediately. We packed about a tenth of our belongings and moved in 4 days time. The Army had not officially set us free so we knew we would be returning to Savannah at some point...March?, May?, July?....whenever the paperwork rodeo was complete.

While in NC, Andy began his training with MAMA (Mountain Area Medical Airlift). The boys and I roamed around our new area and tried to find ways to stay busy on cold winter days. We were blessed to fall in love with the first church we attended. After a few weeks of training and a check ride in NY Andy was set free as an official MAMA pilot. We were in NC for about five weeks until we had to return to Savannah.

For most of February we were in GA to say final goodbyes to friends, pack our belongings, and for Andy to out process. As of March 3rd Andy is once again a civilian. It has been a bittersweet time...we are closing a large chapter of our life but beginning a new and exciting one. Life in the Army presented us with many challenges but also many opportunities to grow and be blessed. We look forward to all that the Lord has for us in this new phase of life!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Our happy little leprechauns!
We went to visit Dad at work today.
Luckily his uniform is green...so we didn't have to pinch him.
