On April 28 Jacob and Caleb were one month old! We can't believe how fast they are growing and changing. They are no longer the sleepy little lumps we brought home from the hospital, but active and alert infants with individual personalities. The boys have grown out of the Newborn clothes and diapers. They like to look around when we are out and about. This week Caleb and Jacob have begun to smile when they see or hear Mom and Dad. Soooo sweet!!!!! It is exciting to see them change, but a little sad too. Andy and I treasure each stage they have gone through and look forward to those to come.

This week we had both sets of grandparents visit. There was lots of snuggling, playing, exercising, and reading books. Those grandparents kept the boys busy! GrandJan and Papa were their first babysitters while we went out to dinner. I was not present for the event, but it looks like Grandaddy and Gramma tried to steal our children! Thankfully Dad caught them.

Nine Months

Friday was our official due date. How do you think we would have fit? Mama is especially glad we came a month early!

I know, I know... I am getting behind. In our third week we celebrated our first Easter. Dad had to go back to work. :( The boys spend the day at home with Mama - mostly just looking cute. We play with a few toys during tummy time and read books. Caleb and Jacob like to look at the big black words on the pages. I hope to have them reading soon!!

Caleb and Jacob have been growing and changing this week. They are awake and alert for several hours each day (and sometimes at night). They like to look around and in Dad and Mama's face. They also like to look in the mirror. The boys love their pacifiers, but aren't great at holding onto them yet. Andy and I take turns on pacifier duty, and sometimes do a little man to man defense.
