These videos of the boys are from about 6 weeks ago. At that time Jacob was really starting to "talk." Caleb, as always, was on the move. Presently they are both talking and on the move.

This was the end of the photo shoot with our cousin Braden. Jacob was ready for more, Caleb was melting down after skipping a nap, and Braden was ready to get down and play.

This makes Mama and Dad so sad!!! They grow too fast.

In case you haven't noticed from the pictures, our boys are far from identical twins. Jacob and Caleb seem to be different in almost every way. There is the obvious: Caleb has blue eyes and Jacob has brown, Jacob loves to eat and Caleb could take it or leave it, Caleb smiles for the camera and Jacob turns serious, Jacob likes to watch the toys, Caleb likes to watch TV. (We do not encourage this!!) Both boys love to chatter and laugh and play, but they learn new tricks in a different order. Jacob rolled to his side first, but Caleb has now rolled over to his belly. Caleb smiled and belly laughed first, but Jacob started conversing with us sooner. We are getting a real understanding of what the books mean when they say every baby is different. Alike or different, we are so blessed to be able to watch and enjoy our boys every day!

We went to Lake Norman (NC) for a family get together in July. The boys did fabulous on their first road trip and in the new surroundings! As you can see, I packed almost everything they owned. We had fun with the whole Jolly family together. Thanks to Conway and Sandy for wonderful first weekend away.
